Dynamics Community Wind Band was formed in December 2011 by seven musicians, who were keen to set up an acoustic wind band for the local community. In May 2012, the band was awarded The Co-Operative Membership Community Fund, which contributed towards the purchase of the stand banners that are used at every performance and concert. The first performance by the band was at Rosevale Residential Care Home in Wigginton with great success, and who have now become frequent hosts! The band has gone on to perform regularly at local community organised events, and private functions, boasts more than 15 members, and is still growing!

Philosophy

Dynamics was formed to be an inclusive band. We adapt for players of all abilities, with a basic understanding of music, and welcome players of many different types of wind instrument including brass and woodwind. We enjoy exploring the diverse styles that we can achieve with a wind band, and play everything from classical pieces to rock music. Our band name is a recognition that we always interpret the mood of our wide musical repertoire, and often arrange well known pieces in new styles to keep our audience, and members, on their toes!
